WestJet's new Ultra Low Cost Carrier 'Swoop' is open for business, and they're starting with introductory fares from Abbotsford to Edmonton, Alberta and Hamilton, Ontario for $43 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
Keep in mind that this is the base price, and includes *only* a personal item. Low cost carriers charge extra for *everything*.
Carry-on bags cost around $38 each way, and checked bags cost $27 each way.
Swoop is WestJet's plan to try and bring the low cost carrier model to Canada, similar to what Flair Air has been doing for the past year.
They are offering pretty much the same routes as Flair Air. From Abbotsford, they are flying non-stop to Hamilton, Ontario and Edmonton, Alberta.
In terms of pricing, Flair Air now includes carry-on luggage in their base prices, while Swoop does not.

late July, August, September, October, November, December 2018
How to find and book this deal
1. Go to the Swoop website
2. Search for flights from Abbotsford (YXX)
- look for the dates that are $14 on the way there, and $31 on the way home.

Update @ 11:15 AM PST
- Abbotsford to Edmonton: still seeing them in all months ($46 CAD roundtrip).
- Abbotsford to Hamilton: there are no more $43 roundtrip flights. The cheapest dates are now $107 on the way there, and $29 on the way home. The only return dates with $29 flights are in November and December.
