Aeromexico has dropped the price of their January flights from Vancouver to Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Mexico down to $370 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop each way, in Mexico City, for 2 hours.
Ixtapa (ZIH) is usually one of the more expensive places to fly to in Mexico. Air Canada does have non-stop flights from Vancouver to ZIH on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but the cheapest flights are $700 roundtrip.
A quick check on Airbnb shows that there appears to be a fair number of well reviewed properties in Ixtapa for around $100 CAD/night.
