Vancouver to Colombia, Guatemala, Peru, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Chile, Argentina, or Brazil - from $294 CAD roundtrip for Economy, $605 for Business Class

Quito, Ecuador

Aeromexico has dropped the price of their flights from Vancouver to Colombia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Nicaragua, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil down to between $294 and $596 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

The flights have 1 stop each way, in Mexico City.

Colombia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Brazil are all on the list of 76 countries that have re-opened to Canadian tourists.

Costa Rica and Colombial do not require a recent negative test result for entry.

As of November 1st, Peru is allowing international flights back into the country from certain cities, including Mexico City (MEX). It is *assumed* that this means Canadians will be allowed to enter if they're flying in on an Aeromexico flight, but Peru has yet to release an official statement. Visitors will be required to bring the result of a recent negative PCR test, performed no more than 72 hours before arrival.

Update November 10th: Chile is opening back up to international tourists, including Canadians, sometime in early December (official start date to be determined). A negative PCR test result from up to 72 hours before arrival into Chile is required.

Update December 17th: As of December 30th, everyone travelling to Brazil is required to show proof of a recent negative PCR test (within 72 hours of your departing flight that takes you to Brazil).

Argentina remains closed.

Update September 18th: Guatemala has re-opened for Canadian tourists (a negative PCR test taken with 72 hours of departure is required).

It seems to me that as soon as you switch to widebody flights the business class price jacks up. It does make sense, but it's a bummer. AM business class on the 737s is pretty pedestrian, but I'm interested in trying the 787 business class, but don't expect it's gonna be great and really don't wanna shell out $2600 lol

Just an FYI all Canadians entering Colombia must pay $80 USD when arriving at the airport before entry to the country. I learned this the hard way personally. Don’t let it detour you, Colombia is beautiful. Just have that extra $80 USD on hand or they will not let you enter after getting off of your plane.

Yes Colombia did that in response to Canada charging Colombians a similar fee. Started sometime in 2014 I believe.
