Flair Air has added some new routes to their schedule, with introductory prices from Vancouver or Victoria to Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario for between $105 and $236 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights are non-stop both ways.
Vancouver, Victoria, or Abbotsford to Ottawa are also available for a similar price.
$105 to $116 roundtrip is the base price, and includes *only* a personal item. Low cost carriers charge extra for *everything*.
$225 to $236 roundtrip is the price with carry-on or a checked bag included, for a more fair comparison against other airlines.
Vice-versa flights (Kitchener-Waterloo or Ottawa to Vancouver) are also available for a similar roundtrip price.
UPDATE: To compete with Flair, Air Canada and Westjet have now dropped the price of their non-stop flights from Vancouver to Ottawa down to $209 CAD roundtrip, which is cheaper than Flair's 'with luggage' price. Try starting with this Google Flights search. Ottawa to Calgary is also available for $256 CAD roundtrip with Westjet.
