There are non-stop flights available from Vancouver to London, UK (Gatwick airport) in October 2016 for $592 CAD roundtrip including taxes. Flights over Thanksgiving (October 10) are available.
The flights involve booking 2 separate one way flights, with WestJet on the way there, and Air Transat on the way back.
Be aware that booking 2 one way flights can be a little risky. If you book the first flight, and the second flight becomes unavailable (sells out or changes price), you might be out of luck. Ideally, you'd want to have 2 browser windows open, and book the flights simultaneously.

How to find and book these flights
1. Start with this Google Flights
Google Flights: Vancouver to London, UK
2. Try one of the following date combinations:
Oct 4 or 5 to Oct 13, 14, 16, 21, 23 or 30
Oct 10 or 12 to Oct 16, 21, 23, or 30
Oct 19 to Oct 23 or 30
3. Select your flights and proceed to book. When you go to book the second flight, the one with Air Transat through Flight Network, you can bring the price down another $10 with a promo code.
So, the first one way flight with WestJet will cost $250. The flight home with Air Transat will cost $352. Total cost should be $602 CAD.
However, you could actually book both flights separately through Flight Network, and use the promo code twice, and buy both flights for a total price of $592 CAD.

You can bring the price down another $10 CAD once you get to Flight Network by using the promo code: 3P10OFF321
You'll find the spot to enter the promo code on the passenger details page (after you've selected the flight). It can be difficult to find.
