Vancouver to Naples, Palermo, Florence, Rome, and many other places in Italy - $692 to $726 CAD roundtrip

Florence, Italy

Lufthansa has dropped the price of their flights from Vancouver to Naples, Palermo, Florence, Rome, and many other places in Italy down to between $692 and $726 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

The flights have 1 stop each way, in Munich.

Summer, and fall 2021 dates are available, including July and August.

If all goes according to plan (the most famous last words), Canada will have likely reached herd immunity levels by September (more optimistic timelines are for as early as June, if the not-yet approved vaccines like Johnson & Johnson come into play).

Currently, Italy is slightly ahead of Canada in vaccinating it's citizens.

Italy currently requires a 14 day quarantine on their end.

It'll be interesting to see if LH even operates the MUC flight this year. Currently they're only operating FRA twice a week and it'll be a miracle if borders are open enough and without quarantines to operate even daily let alone the MUC rotations.

FINGERS CROSSED though! At this point while I appreciate the deals and love the site, locking in a single dollar with airlines right now unless you're travelling imminently just seems foolish. They're not giving refunds, they can't keep their published skeds (not their fault) and rescheduling or trying to get your credit is even a hassle in many cases, also with the credits not lasting long enough. I have to fly Aeromexico 5 times before the end of AUGUST if I want to not lose any money, can't combine the credits, the time frame was short...it's ridiculous. So I guess if stuff does open up i'll be spending lots of time in latin america, which in a vacuum would be great, but Aeromexico is a joke right now. Even getting a credit from AC is proving to be a giant pain in the ass due to OTAs.
